"Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything. You say, “Food was made for the stomach, and the stomach for food.” (This is true, though someday God will do away with both of them.) But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies. And God will raise us from the dead by his power, just as he raised our Lord from the dead.
Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never! And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, “The two are united into one.” But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body."

I have another friend who had a horrific upbringing as well. She pretty much raised herself. Her parents were and still are alcoholics and drug addicts. As a result, she chose men who abused her. Because that's all she ever knew. When I met her, she was planning to marry a man she met online. She told me he was a Christian man who was very involved at church, but every time she spoke of him, warning bells clanged in my head. This man seemed to be exactly like the other men, only he went to church. About a year in, she "took a break" from their relationship, only to start chatting with him again a few months later. The last time I talked with her, she had broken it off again and blocked him on social media.
I believe she also feels incomplete without a partner.
By the way, its a lie that you're incomplete without that special someone in your life.
"So you also are complete through your union with Christ..." Colossians 2:10

I have a friend who has been abused her whole life. And I mean her whole life. Abandoned by her mother and abused by her father. She has never felt a mother's love or a father's love. She is a recovering alcoholic, a recovering drug addict and is sexually confused. She has told me she is attracted to both men and women. She has a delightful personality. In casual conversation, you would never guess the pain she has suffered, and still suffers. She is an expert at hiding behind her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She is rarely without a partner. I have suggested to her to chose singleness for a time and develop intimacy with God. She can't stand the thought of being alone. She feels incomplete without a partner.

The reason I share these stories is to say that there are spirits attached to sexual sin. When you have sex with someone, or you are sexually abused, you become one with that person. Whether you want to be or not. There is no such thing as casual sex. This is why having sex with a random person or someone you aren't committed to in marriage is dangerous. Because after having sex with them, they have a hold on you. This is why abusive relationships continue for years. This is why women keep going back after being beaten to a pulp over and over. Because they are having sex with the abuser and the evil spirit is transfered to them. So they are in bondage to the abuser. They are pulled. They are drawn back to the very person from whom they escaped.
However, there is an answer! With God, there's always hope!
To the woman who is broken by life, or by people in your life,
To the woman who has never felt unconditional love,
To the woman who continues to choose abusive relationships,
To the woman who feels hopeless and isolated,
To the woman whose heart is battered and raw,
There is a God in Heaven. Your Creator.
Choose intimacy with Jesus. Lay your shattered life down at the foot of the Cross. Visualize His blood running down and saturating you. Let His blood cleanse you. Let Him put all the pieces back together. Let Him transform you, from the inside out, into a brand new creature.
"Dear Jesus, I pray for the woman who feels alone and isolated in a world that seems to be filled with couples and families. Please draw her with Your unconditional love. Please crush the lies of the enemy; lies that play over and over in her head, telling her she is worthless and no one cares. Please send crashing waves of Your boundless love to wash away the lies. Over and over. Awaken her in the night with the heavy blanket of Your Love. Wrap her in Your Arms of mercy, again and again. Transform her, moment by moment, by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You ahead of time. In Jesus Name I pray, AMEN."
