GOD Morning!

“Just as the Lord has found great pleasure in causing you to prosper and multiply, the Lord will find pleasure in destroying you. You will be torn from the land you are about to enter and occupy. For the Lord will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship foreign gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods made of wood and stone! There among those nations you will find no peace or place to rest. And the Lord will cause your heart to tremble, your eyesight to fail, and your soul to despair." Deuteronomy 28:63-65 There is much detail in Deuteronomy twenty-eight regarding the destruction of Israel if they chose not to obey God. Unfortunately, they chose not to obey God.  And so... “You must destroy all the nations the Lord your God hands over to you. Show them no mercy, and do not worship their gods, or they will trap you. Perhaps you will think to yourselves, ‘How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?’ But don’t be afraid of them! Just remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt. Remember the great terrors the Lord your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear. "This happened when I was on the mountain receiving the tablets of stone inscribed with the words of the covenant that the Lord had made with you. Then the Lord said to me, ‘Get up! Go down immediately, for the people you brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. How quickly they have turned away from the way I commanded them to live! "So Moses told the people, “You must be careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God, following his instructions in every detail. Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy." Deuteronomy 5:32-33 But what about those good people, carefully following the ten commandments, who die young?  Jesus was perfect and He died a horrific death at a young age.  What about good people who suffer ongoing sickness? I've heard the comment, "God must be mad at me," which is definitely a lie from hell.  But honestly, I don't have a pat answer for you.  "Then you will live long and prosper in the land you are about to occupy." The Man, Christ Jesus, obeyed the Ten Commandments. Plus, He willingly suffered at the hands of evil people.  "But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured ...
