Truth and Lies

"Even later, during the reign of King Artaxerxes of Persia, the enemies of Judah, led by Bishlam, Mithredath, and Tabeel, sent a letter to Artaxerxes in the Aramaic language, and it was translated for the king.
Rehum the governor and Shimshai the court secretary wrote the letter, telling King Artaxerxes about the situation in Jerusalem. They greeted the king for all their colleagues—the judges and local leaders, the people of Tarpel, the Persians, the Babylonians, and the people of Erech and Susa (that is, Elam). This is a copy of their letter:
“To King Artaxerxes, from your loyal subjects in the province west of the Euphrates River.
“The king should know that the Jews who came here to Jerusalem from Babylon are rebuilding this rebellious and evil city. They have already laid the foundation and will soon finish its walls. And the king should know that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, it will be much to your disadvantage, for the Jews will then refuse to pay their tribute, customs, and tolls to you.
“Since we are your loyal subjects[e] and do not want to see the king dishonored in this way, we have sent the king this information. We suggest that a search be made in your ancestors’ records, where you will discover what a rebellious city this has been in the past. In fact, it was destroyed because of its long and troublesome history of revolt against the kings and countries who controlled it. We declare to the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, the province west of the Euphrates River will be lost to you.”
Then King Artaxerxes sent this reply:
“To Rehum the governor, Shimshai the court secretary, and their colleagues living in Samaria and throughout the province west of the Euphrates River. Greetings.
“The letter you sent has been translated and read to me. I ordered a search of the records and have found that Jerusalem has indeed been a hotbed of insurrection against many kings. In fact, rebellion and revolt are normal there! Powerful kings have ruled over Jerusalem and the entire province west of the Euphrates River, receiving tribute, customs, and tolls. Therefore, issue orders to have these men stop their work. That city must not be rebuilt except at my express command. Be diligent, and don’t neglect this matter, for we must not permit the situation to harm the king’s interests.”
When this letter from King Artaxerxes was read to Rehum, Shimshai, and their colleagues, they hurried to Jerusalem. Then, with a show of strength, they forced the Jews to stop building." Ezra 4:7-23
There was some truth to this letter to King Artaxerxes. God's chosen people had been wildly rebelious. But now, they were following God in their efforts to rebuild the Temple. And they were forced to stop the project.
Our body is the temple of God. We must not let satan's lies stop us from building our temple. We are called and chosen by God.
We must cleanse our mind constantly and replace the lies with truth from God's word. We must search for specific scriptures relating to each lie that is replaying in our mind.
Yes, there will be some truth mixed in with the lies. We are sinners. That is true. But Jesus paid the price for our forgiveness.
When satan (or one of his evil angels) comes against me with truth mixed with lies, I simply remind him that I am forgiven. Plus I remind him of the truth of his future.
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Revelation 20:10
I just watched an amazing testimony yesterday. A man was teetering on the railing of a bridge, planning to jump to his death. Satan replayed his life to him, showing him just how bad he had been and how worthless his life was. He reminded him of every terrible sin he had committed. Suddenly he felt a powerful force push against his chest, and he fell backwards to the pavement. The Hand of God saved him from death by suicide.
"Dear Jesus, I pray against the spirit of suicide this morning. Please plant the truth of Your Love into every heart that is discouraged and overwhelmed. Please empower each one of us to continue working on our temple. Thank You for Your Supreme Sacrifice. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN."
"Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself..." 1 Corinthians 6:19"

  1. The Lord has shown me that a strong demonic spirit of suicide has been unleashed like in no other time, but specifically to the body of Christ. This is real and we as true intercessors must utilize our AUTHORITY against this spirit. Suicide is not of God and it leads to a lifetime of eternal suffering. Some believe that suicide will end the suffering when the truth is ONLY GOD can and will end the suffering but if we give in to the voice of the enemy we enter in to eternal suffering.

Gatekeeper

"In all, there were 212 gatekeepers in those days, and they were listed according to the genealogies in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed their ancestors because they were reliable men. These gatekeepers and their descendants, by their divisions, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord when that house was a tent. The gatekeepers were stationed on all four sides—east, west, north, and south. Their relatives in the villages came regularly to share their duties for seven-day periods. The four chief gatekeepers, all Levites, were trusted officials, for they were responsible for the rooms and treasuries at the house of God. They would spend the night around the house of God, since it was their duty to guard it and to open the gates every morning. Some of the gatekeepers were assigned to care for the various articles used in worship. They checked them in and out to avoid any loss. Others were responsible for the furnishings, the items in...

Odd Duck

"He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son." John 1:10-14 Are you an odd duck? Jesus was the Perfect Example of an odd duck. He was God and man. In the same body. How odd is that? He came into the world he created. Huh? The very world He created didn't recognize Him. His own people rejected him. Ever felt rejected by everyone, even your own family? You are not alone. Instead of walking around in the shame of being an odd duck, just know that you are in Good Company. Jesus was part of the Master Plan. His own Master...

Equal Opportunity

"There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.” “How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked. Jesus replied, “You are a respect...
